IPA:/ɣ/ the voiced velar fricative as in Arabic غ(ḡ). Hindi speakers from rural areas will pronounce it as IPA:/ɡ/ / (ग) instead, while speakers from urban areas, such as Lucknow, are more likely to pronounce the sound correctly.
